The dessert table that holds all night

Baklava is built for events in a way most desserts are not. It is baked, cut and syruped ahead of service, it does not melt, wilt or need refrigeration on the table, and it still tastes right three hours into a reception. That makes it the safest dessert on a long run sheet and the one that keeps working after the caterers have packed down.

Ours is layered filo brushed with butter, packed with pistachio or walnut, baked until it shatters and soaked in syrup while still hot. Cut into diamonds, rolls and triangles so a single tray reads as a spread rather than one repeated shape.

Baklava and karak belong together

Across the Gulf and the Levant, baklava is not served alone — it comes with tea. The syrup is sweet enough that it needs something strong and unsweetened beside it, which is exactly what karak and sulaimani are for.

Because we already run the tea and coffee counter, the pairing happens naturally: a guest takes a piece of baklava and is handed the cup that is supposed to go with it. That is a harder thing for a dessert-only vendor to deliver.

Where it fits

Weddings and nikkah receptions, Eid and Ramadan gatherings, corporate hospitality, graduations and birthdays. It sits on the same booth as kunafa, so most bookings take both and get a full dessert station from one setup.

How it works

A booth, a counter, and a queue that keeps forming

The Dubai Karak team standing inside their branded canopy booth at an outdoor event

We bring a branded canopy, a served counter, and pots of tea and coffee brewed the way they are brewed in the Gulf. Because everything is brewed in volume before the doors open, we hand out a hot cup every few seconds rather than every few minutes.

That matters most at the moments events actually get busy: the end of a ceremony, a conference break, the hour after sunset at a Ramadan bazaar. The booth is designed to absorb a crowd, and the setup is designed to be photographed while it does.

  • Branded canopy, calligraphy panels and feather flags included
  • Served counter — guests are handed a cup, not left to self-serve
  • Hot and cold menu so the booth works in July as well as December
  • Indoor or outdoor, with our own setup and breakdown

★★★★★
Honestly one of the best Karak experiences in California. Mohammad really knows what he's doing. Every cup hits different, rich, smooth, and full of authentic Eastern flavor. You can literally taste the spices, the warmth, the culture in every sip. It's not just tea, it feels like a small trip to the Middle East right here in Cali. If you're into real Karak, this place is a must.

I had the pleasure of having The Dubai Karak at my birthday celebration, and they truly exceeded every expectation. They were so kind, generous, and welcoming, creating such a beautiful atmosphere from the moment they arrived. The karak was absolutely amazing, rich and authentic, and they offered so much more than just drinks. Every detail, from their presentation to their outfits, was executed perfectly from A to Z. They brought such a luxurious, elevated vibe that made everyone fall in love with the experience and truly made my party unforgettable!

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is baklava?

Layers of paper-thin filo pastry brushed with butter and packed with chopped pistachio or walnut, baked until crisp and then soaked in sugar syrup while hot. It is cut into diamonds, rolls or triangles and served at room temperature.

Is baklava good for a large event?

It is one of the best desserts for a long event. It is prepared ahead, needs no refrigeration on the table, does not melt, and holds its texture for hours — so it still works late in the night.

What nuts do you use?

Pistachio and walnut are the traditional fillings. Tell us in the quote form if you have guests with nut allergies so we can plan the dessert table around it.

Can we have baklava and kunafa together?

Yes, and most bookings do. Both run from the same booth as the tea and coffee menu, so one setup covers the whole dessert station.

Do you serve baklava with tea?

That is how it is meant to be eaten. Baklava is sweet enough that it wants a strong, unsweetened cup beside it — karak or sulaimani — and we pour both from the same counter.
