Gulf tea and coffee in Los Angeles
Los Angeles has world-class coffee and, oddly, almost nowhere to get a proper cup of karak at an event. The city's Middle Eastern communities are spread from Glendale to Westwood to the South Bay, and the drink they grew up with rarely makes it onto a catering menu.
We bring it — along with Arabic, Turkish and Saudi coffee, kunafa, and a dirty soda bar — in a booth built to be looked at as much as queued at.
LA events we are built for
Brand activations and production catering, where the booth needs to photograph well and serve fast. Weddings and nikkahs, where Arabic coffee during the arrival window sets the tone. Corporate offices and conference breaks, where two hundred people want a hot drink inside twenty minutes.
We cover Los Angeles County broadly, including Glendale, Long Beach, Pasadena, the Westside and the South Bay.
The menu
What we serve in Los Angeles
Tea
Dubai Karak Chai
كركThe signature. Strong black tea, cardamom, evaporated milk, brewed and poured to order.
Sulaimani Tea
سليمانيBlack tea with no milk, brightened with lemon and a little spice. The Gulf digestif.
Sage Tea
ميرميةMaramiya — fresh sage steeped with black tea. Herbal, warming, naturally caffeine-light.
Ginger Lemon Tea
Fresh ginger and lemon, steeped hot. The caffeine-free option that isn't an afterthought.
Iced Tea
Chilled and lightly sweetened — the outdoor-event workhorse.
Coffee
Turkish Coffee
قهوة تركيةFinely ground coffee simmered in a cezve and poured unfiltered, grounds and all.
Saudi Coffee
قهوة سعوديةPale, cardamom-forward and lightly roasted, served in small handleless finjan cups.
Arabic Coffee
قهوة عربيةGahwa poured from a traditional dallah — the Gulf's welcome drink.
French Coffee
Sweet, milky and mild — the Middle Eastern café version, not a French press.
Spanish Latte
Coffee with sweetened condensed milk — rich, sweet and currently everywhere.
Cold
Dirty Soda
Soda built with cream, syrups and fruit — the trend, done as a full serve-to-order bar.
Snack
Chips & Cheese Paratha
Flaky paratha wrapped around melted cheese and Chips Oman, with hot sauce.
Sweet
Kunafa
كنافةShredded pastry over soft cheese, baked and soaked in syrup. Served warm.

How it works
A booth, a counter, and a queue that keeps forming

We bring a branded canopy, a served counter, and pots of tea and coffee brewed the way they are brewed in the Gulf. Because everything is brewed in volume before the doors open, we hand out a hot cup every few seconds rather than every few minutes.
That matters most at the moments events actually get busy: the end of a ceremony, a conference break, the hour after sunset at a Ramadan bazaar. The booth is designed to absorb a crowd, and the setup is designed to be photographed while it does.
- Branded canopy, calligraphy panels and feather flags included
- Served counter — guests are handed a cup, not left to self-serve
- Hot and cold menu so the booth works in July as well as December
- Indoor or outdoor, with our own setup and breakdown
What guests say
Reviews from Google
“Honestly one of the best Karak experiences in California. Mohammad really knows what he's doing. Every cup hits different, rich, smooth, and full of authentic Eastern flavor. You can literally taste the spices, the warmth, the culture in every sip. It's not just tea, it feels like a small trip to the Middle East right here in Cali. If you're into real Karak, this place is a must.”
“I had the pleasure of having The Dubai Karak at my birthday celebration, and they truly exceeded every expectation. They were so kind, generous, and welcoming, creating such a beautiful atmosphere from the moment they arrived. The karak was absolutely amazing, rich and authentic, and they offered so much more than just drinks. Every detail, from their presentation to their outfits, was executed perfectly from A to Z. They brought such a luxurious, elevated vibe that made everyone fall in love with the experience and truly made my party unforgettable!”
“I drink Karak very frequently and I've tried it here and it was the best Karak I've tried so far. I recommend everyone trying it out!”
Questions
Los Angeles — common questions
Do you cater events in Los Angeles?
Yes. Los Angeles is inside our regular service area and we bring the full menu — karak chai, sulaimani, sage and ginger lemon tea, Arabic, Turkish, Saudi and French coffee, a Spanish latte, kunafa, chips and cheese paratha and a dirty soda bar.
What do you bring to a Los Angeles event?
Everything. Branded canopy, Arabic calligraphy panels, feather flags, the counter and all equipment. We set up and break down ourselves, indoors or outdoors.
How do you serve?
From a branded canopy booth with a served counter. Karak and the tea menu are brewed in pots, gahwa is poured from a dallah and Turkish coffee is made to order in a cezve — all brewed in volume ahead of the pour, so a crowd clears quickly.
How far in advance should we book a Los Angeles date?
As early as you can. Weekend dates in wedding season and during Ramadan fill first. Send your date through the form and we will confirm availability straight away.
Do you serve cold drinks too?
Yes. Iced tea and a made-to-order dirty soda bar run from the same booth as the hot menu, which matters for daytime outdoor events in Southern California.
